Coal India, LIC, ONGC to remain in focus As on : 12-Nov-23  17:38

Coal India: The country?s largest coal miner?s consolidated net profit increased 12.73% to Rs 6,813.50 crore in Q2 FY24 as against Rs 6,043.99 crore posted in Q2 FY23. Revenue from operations grew 9.84% year on year (YoY) to Rs 32,776.41 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2023.

Life Insurance Corporation of India: The state-run life insurer?s standalone net profit tumbled 50.32% to Rs 7,925.02 crore in Q2 FY24 as against Rs 15,952.49 crore recorded in Q2 FY23. Total premium income stood at Rs 1,07,396.77 crore in Q2 FY24, down 18.7% from Rs 1,32,104.14 crore posted in Q2 FY23.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL): The steel maker has reported a standalone net profit of Rs 1,240.66 crore in Q2 FY24 as against a net loss of Rs 385.82 crore recorded in Q2 FY23. Revenue from operations grew 13.21% year on year to Rs 29,713.54 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2023.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's (ONGC): The corporation?s standalone net profit dropped 20.3% to Rs 10,216.32 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Rs 12,826 crore posted in Q2 FY23. Revenue from operations declined 8.2% year on year (YoY) to Rs 35,163.04 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2023.

Eicher Motors: The company has registered its highest ever profit after tax for the at Rs. 1,016 crore, registering a strong growth of 55% in comparison to Rs 657 crore during the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose by 17% to Rs 4,115 crores from Rs. 3,519 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 2022-23.

Biocon: The global biopharmaceuticals company has reported a net profit of Rs 126 crore for Q2 FY24 as against a PAT of Rs 47 crore in Q2 FY23. Consolidated revenues for the second quarter grew by 52% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 3,620 crore.

Sun TV Network: The media company?s standalone net profit rose 13.86% to Rs 456.24 crore on 27.82% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 1,017.98 crore in Q2 FY24 over Q2 FY23. Total income stood at Rs 1,125.08 crore in Q2 FY24, registering a growth of 27.48% year on year.

Fortis Healthcare: The company has recorded 15% fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 174 crore despite a 10.1% rise in revenue to Rs 1,770 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Q2 FY23.

Tata Chemicals: The company?s PAT on a consolidated basis, stood at Rs 495 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 685 crore in Q2FY23, recording a de-growth of 28% on YoY basis. The income from operations declined 6% to Rs 3,998 crore in Q2 FY24 from Rs 4,239 crore in Q2 FY23.
